I've built a couple new Nether portals, and there's passageways through the Nether connecting them. One is on a high treetop directly above the initial spawn area, accessible by a long treetop walkway leading out from the VOG bungalow. The other one is just inside the snow biome near Bobby Blackwolf's sand castle. Both of those take you to a floating island I built a couple days ago at the server's height limit.

Edit: A portal Galley89 built in his house broke the crazily inefficient portal I had in the Nether that leads to the floating island. I had to build a new floating island portal tunneled up into the Nether ceiling, and I had to make a new portal in the Nether that goes to Galley89's house, but all the portals work properly again. I'm just glad there's someone other than me building stuff in the Nether now.

Server host is having issues at the moment so you'll probably be unable to connect to the server until it's resolved. I've already submitted a ticket.

Yay! We're running again. Also, I had blown the crap out of the End with exploding beds, so thanks to Loki for deleting the End so we can go after the Ender Dragon when we switch back to survival mode.

So I'm looking to add some mods soon. Of course most of them (Mineforge mods) require client installs as well. For right now I've enabled Rei's Minimap, which is a pretty sweet map mod. It allows you to set way-points and map caves.

I messed around with Rei's Minimap, and it's pretty nice. You can set a waypoint in the overworld, go to the Nether, switch to the overworld waypoints, and find the perfect place to put a portal. I used that to find a spot to put a new public access portal outside Loki's Castle. You can never have enough gateways to hell.
