Gotta love Jim Sally's calls.

Also, it's great that JoCo released the new cover of Baby Got Back and donating the earnings to charity. And Fox should burn in hell.

And on topic of Vigil games, it truly sucks that nobody bid for them... They're truly great devs and deserve to be working on new stuff, whether it's a new IP or Darksiders. Hopefully, they'll find a new home soon.

What is going on with Nintendo in Europe? First they can't sell mature games and demos before 11pm and now they can't run the "new" VC above 50 hertz. Is this German law as well or something? Awesome that Japan gets Mother 2 though.

I think it mostly has to do with the fact that, back in the day, they had to specifically code to handle 50hz for the European releases. Rather than rewrite the entire display code on all of those old ROM's (that have the multiple language support) they are just taking the original ROM code directly.

That's the answer that makes sense to me, but flies in the face of the 3DS having 60hz code. So, I dunno.

Then again, the 3DS is using its own screen(s) while the Wii U (or other consoles for that matter) is connected to a TV.

Now I don't know that much about TVs in Europe, but I think Blackwolf's explanation is probably the reason why they did it.

It sucks that European countries only get the 50hz when all of North America gets 60hz. Why cant they all get the 60hz?
