Wow seriously? Sim City is dead. Always online is a fucking absolute joke and a travesty for that kind of game, way more so than Diablo. Games are about fun. Quit ruining my fun by making all these demands on how I play. Totally passing on this game now.

I mean the whole point of the game is to experiment in a lab. They're locking up all the chemicals and spoonfeeding me the procedure by forcing me to log in and play their way. Sorry but you don't need a data center to crunch a bunch of fake statistics about a little fake city, and I don't want other people messing with my creation so I don't really care for the social aspect, though I guess I'd try it with friends.

The Patent to disable Used Games is really bad, Sony are shooting themselves in the foot on this one once Customers start complaining about it, Then the customers would switch over to another Console.

I'm pretty sure Sony or MS made a similar claim years ago about something like this but it never got to see the light of day.

I'm pretty sure the same will happen with this patent. It's just something Sony can use to protect their assets but it won't be something that they'll do for their next console. I mean, Sony is stupid but not THAT stupid.

I dunno, I love Sony's systems (well the PS3 & PS2 anyway) but they seem just enough out of touch, they might actually do it.

I think they will, but I hope I'm wrong...

Well, they could just go all digital too. Like they did with the PSP Go.

Then again, we all know how that worked.

Here is the deal to be honest all 3 are slowly moving out of the resale market of video games more and more games are going to be sold in only digital versions thus limiting the abilities to resale the games as we speak but wait computer games are a one time sale "for the most part" and if Sony really wanted to stop resale they wouldn't even allow games to be sold in hard copy it is an end of an era..... and places like GameStop have started moving away from resale and into the digital market

Sim City getting the always on DRM is really bad news for those who might have there connection dropping all of a sudden, Therefore they would lose there progress in the game.
