The Bobby Blackwolf Show

754 - 04/04/21 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Niantic Teases AR Headset, PlayStation Studios Game On Xbox Game Pass

  • This was the podcast of me getting corrected, as I was corrected on VR companies, HDMI vs DisplayPort, and USB2 vs USB3. Please accept my humble apologies and Price is Right fail horns.
  • We do get some interesting insider info about the software architecture of PlayStations vs. Xbox.
  • Summer Games Done Quick 2021 will once again, and hopefully for the last time, be a virtual event the week of July 4th. Here's hoping I'll make the cut to host again!
  • Microsoft has announced that the Sony developed (but MLB published) MLB The Show 21 will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one of its release - but it does not mean any other PlayStation exclusives are following suit.
  • Niantic has teased an AR headset - does this mean that they might have figured out how to make AR headsets viable outside of the industrial or medical sector?
  • Then we talk to OLR about No Man's Sky's Expeditions Update.

My experience with Pfizer vaccine:

1st dose: Arm soreness. Had difficulty raising hand above my head.

2nd dose: Learned from first one. Put on cooling relief patch over band aid for few hours followed by icy-hot/salonpas patch. Also used massage gun. No arm soreness. Had full movement of arm, no pain.

Heard others who felt fatigued during 2nd dose; so I overhydrated and did moderate exercise before the shot to counter. Experienced no fatigue.

Only symptom i had was random on/off migraine lasting few seconds for first two days. Nothing limiting me from doing everyday tasks.

Everyone have different response to vaccine regardless of brand (depending how stubborn their immune system is to change). I encourage everyone to get the vaccine when they can so we all can get this pandemic behind us. If you do get side effects, it'll only last a few days at most. Better than long term damage if you were to contract the virus

On Niantic's AR headset.

Not sure how successful it'll be since it looks like Google Glass. And you know how that turned out...

Also I only used the AR feature once for one of Niantic's game, Pokemon Go (when i used to play it) to test it out, and never used it again due to the battery drain.

Not sure how popular AR is on Pokemon Go now, but when I played it during launch; rarely anyone I know used it aside from that ONE photo to their social media saying they're playing the game
