Hope your theory is correct and the bumper button attachment is integrated into the ps5 controller, and the PS4 controller is backwards compatible with ps5; Similar to the Wii motion plus attachment for Wii and WiiU

Only worry is the battery life. Is it using the PS4 controller battery or uses it's own?

Like how profiles are programmable on device and don't have to install app and/or sync to PC to customize

Late release in it's like cycle like the
Xbox elite series 2 controller for X1. At least this is significantly cheaper in cost.

On gift wrapping: could always use gift bags. Or do what I do: don't wrap it at all or give it straight to other person either behind the back then front reveal, or just simply out if the backpack. More cost/time efficient and environmentally friendly. Plus the wrapper is going to end in trash anyway...guess the few seconds of surprise is worth it to some *shrugs*

Xbox name as a platform is okay. May take a while for gamers to get used to especially since game consoles tend to have longer life cycles (few years) compared to Android/iOS (yearly).

Plus hardware specs for games is different from apps. As they require more resources, especially when gamers expect 4k 60fps next gen. May see downgrade in graphics to cater to older system/console. Already seen this through crackdown 3 as I think the graphics were lowered to cater to broader platform availability

Hope MS don't release too many xboxs. May get a steambox situation. And you know how those sold
