My opinion on microtransactions in terms of non-cosmetic purchases:

I don't mind it if it's just on the single player side as long as the progression system for those who don't pay is fair.

Online is where I have an issue as you are playing against other players as it puts a disadvantage on those who put time into the game vs those who "pay to win" (especially in PvP).

In Battlefront 2 case paying a set amount doesn't guarantee you get the item you want which is a form of gambling and shouldn't be in a game rated T for teen.

In terms of spending 40hours for 1 character, they put in a patch to reduce that by 60% since launch due to mass criticism.

Overall, I wouldn't mind paying $70-75 if they get rid of microtransactions completely. You can wait for a price drop and get the 'game of the year'/complete edition with all DLC, but by then you are at a disadvantage compared to veterans in the game assuming the game is online based.

Also are you going to talk about net neutrality? FCC dropped the announcement that they're going to repeal net neutrality laws during thanksgiving weekend when everyone was enjoying the festivities which is a pretty shady move in my opinion
