438 - 06/15/14 Bobby Blackwolf Show - E3 2014 Wrapup

  • E3 2014 is over, and it's time to talk about our Interactive Coverage and what we saw at the show - and how we almost got kicked out...
  • A big rundown of the Sony Morpheus VR headset and comparisons to the Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 really start off the wrapup.
  • I spent more time with The Big Three this year, which yielded different results.
  • I also talked about some other games from other developers, such as This War of Mine, World of Speed, Rollers of the Realm, and Elite: Dangerous.
  • One of the highlights was the Virtual Pinball cabinet from VPCabs.com in the Telltale Games booth playing the Walking Dead table from Zen Pinball 2.
  • Is E3 still relevant? Would I go back? Find out in the OLR call...

Really liked hearing your take on Smash Bros for the 3DS. I actually brought this up with a friend of mine after watching Nintendo's E3 digital event. I'm not a huge Smash player so I forgot how much the screen zooms out during the battle and I immediately thought that would be very hard to see on a small screen, XL or otherwise.

Do you think releasing on 3DS first could hurt the Wii U version? I wonder if most players will just avoid the 3DS version because of the screen size issues and the party aspect of the game that seems better suited for playing in a room with friends.
