Hearing the situation that is going on with CCP makes me really grateful for my job with the US Postal Service. While USPS is hemorrhaging money due to decisions by Congress and their lack of desire to correct those decisions, I have full confidence that I will continue to be employed for many years to come. This is due to the excellence I exhibit in my job on a daily basis, and the fact that the existence of my employer is mandated by the Constitution. Not many others can say that their employers has such a mandate.

Also, the situation with CCP reinforces in my mind that the way I approach my writing is correct. While I may not have the level of success that other writers have, at least other people aren't suffering due to me and my decisions as it relates to the content I produce or the rate at which I produce it. It would weigh heavily on my mind if someone else was not able to provide for themselves or their families because of me.
