I thought your analysis of the VGX show was perfect. I also thought LOKI hit the nail on the head with his breakdown of Joel McHale, so there is nothing more I need to say other than I am a big fan of everything Joel does, but he was the wrong choice if they wanted the internet to like this show.

My only thing is, I like awards show, and I never had a problem with the VGAs. I think a special edition of Geoff Keighley's show could follow a traditional VGA show so they can better separate the glammed up Hollywood event with the quiet, sit-down style that some gamers want. Sort of how Barbara Walters would follow up the Oscars.

If it's an awards show, it's an awards show, but if it's an interview show, then do that. You just can't have it both ways, or it ends up looking like what we saw the other weekend.
