Seconds after listening to the segment on the show about Pokemon GO, this popped up on Twitter. So, yes, "new" Polkemon revealed to be coming today.

More Pokémon and a limited edition Pikachu are coming to Pokémon GO
http://pokemongolive.com/en/post/johto-holiday/

"Professor Willow has discovered Togepi and Pichu hatching from Eggs! Starting later today, Trainers will have the opportunity to hatch these and several other Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto Region in Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games. These are the first of more Pokémon coming to Pokémon GO over the next few months.

We also have another special treat for you. Starting later today through December 29, 2016, 10:00 A.M. PST, you’ll find limited edition Pikachu all over the world. These Pikachu will be wearing a festive hat to celebrate the season!"

shout-out to Blackwolf for standing up for us Nintendo fans! You can't seriously say they'd launch a system without the system's big trick being fully functional, they wouldn't want to risk it! The show may have been pre-recorded but I fully believe that functionality has already been dialed in, and LOKI's just hating on Nintendo (again :( )

I'd imagine the only reason they would cut away or not show the screen is something they don't want the people seeing... like perhaps some unfinished/debug menu type of thing... reminds me of they demoed Breath of the Wild at E3, the initial demo must have accidentally been set to 'show floor' mode so that it ends after a specific time, so they had to change a setting behind the scenes!

Which for the record I'm still really hyped for, I mean I had to wait almost as long for Xenoblade X and that was 130 hours well spent!! SO waiting a little longer for something that will likely take me almost as long... I'll live.
