ElectricSistaHood

Join self-proclaimed geeks (and actual sisters) NinJaSistah and Pandalicious each week as they share a unique look at video games new and old. From console gaming (Xbox, Playstation, Wii) to mobile (iOS and Android), triple "A" titles to independent developer releases, trade show coverage and even one-on-one interviews, these ladies review and preview it all. Sprinkle in a little bit of anime and tech gadget and a whole lot of randomness and you've got yourself an episode of ElectricSistaHood.

Turn around IS fair play...right? Looks like Pandalicious was in a very talkative mood on this week's episode. A new rule has been implemented for NinJaSistah - from this point on she will only be permitted to talk about Bungie's Destiny for a total of FIVE MINUTES in all future shows. When The Taken King drops on September 15th will be an exception, but for all subsequent shows, the NinJa must abide. This episode gives Panda the soapbox for the majority of the show - much like NinJa's take over a few weeks ago - to talk about her extensive […]

Panda saw this coming...DIDN'T YOU? This episode is Destiny-centric. Ninja spends the majority of the show talking about her obsession straight outta Bungie, Destiny. No lie...she spends literally an hour talking about all the changes that are coming when The Taken King DLC drops on September 15th. Don't worry though, Panda get's to rant for a few moments at the end about The Evil Within DLC The Assignment, The Consequence and The Executioner. So hop into your airship and get into ESH Cast #449: We Were Destined To Talk About This Stuff.

Maybe she just wants to be supportive. Level: CREEPER This episode couldn't be more ESH if it tried. Right out of the gate, Panda brings us down to Tangent Town, jumping all over the Straight Outta Somewhere meme. Ninja had to school her a little bit on the meme's origins and some of the more interesting places people have decided to take it. Some are funny. Some are HILARIOUS Some are...just plain weird. Ninja dominates the episode with an anime she SWEARS Panda will enjoy called Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace. Ninja couldn't be more right even if Panda watched […]

This should be on every anime just as a suggestive warning. Have you ever loved something or someone so much that you saw NO OTHER OPTION than to murder any and all things that could capture your loved one/things' affections? If you aren't familiar with this characteristic, count yourself lucky. And the anime world, this mentality is known as "Yandere" and it's popping up in various games, novels, and animated series this season. Before the ladies dig into that conversation, Rochelle shares her hands-on review of her latest goodie from ESH's good friends Astro Gaming. Before you get all excited […]

This show is filled with spoilers–but of which kind?! Literally this week's show turned into "Hey Sistahs, Whatcha Watching?" There has been a lull in game news (because Gamescom hadn't started yet) and neither sistah had the chance to play anything new. Panda partied a little TOO hard, while Ninja decided to do some adulting. Because those are the sorts of things adults do. Kinda like taxes and chores and stuff. Ninja talked mostly about a new anime she has gotten into called Overlord which can be found over on FUNimation.com or over on Hulu Plus. If you lived/loved Sword […]

If it wasn't the first time, it sure will be now The Sistahs of ESH have been fans of TheGameCompany when it released Flow. A game they both praised for its innovation and simple delivery. It is no surprise that the same company would deliver something so beautiful as the game Journey. That's right, we're talking about Journey this episode of our podcast. PS4 users have not had the ability to experience the former "Game of The Year" title until recently, and both sistahs jumped at the chance to play the game again, and at 1080p no less. July 21st […]

Panda will keep promising to stop doing this until the day she actually stops doing it...or at least, refrains from talking about Higurashi for a little while. This week's ESH Cast is chock full of...well, stuff. Panda is quite chatty in this episode where she talks about the passing of Satoru Iwata. Nintendo was a staple in the ESH household growing up, and Ninja is there every step of way so Panda gets her story straight. After the trip down memory lane, Panda dives into a topic that frankly, made her angrily need a restroom. If you feel like you […]

Super late, but better than not getting it at all is a brand new episode of the ESH Cast. In this episode the ladies talk SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) - lamenting not being able to go, but enjoying all the geeky news and trailers that were leaked. (Including that Deadpool one.) They also talk about movie remakes (like the Goonies sequel that is coming) as well as revisiting Batman: Arkham Knight and more thoughts from E3 - this time focused on Activition's Guitar Hero: Live and Harmonix's Rock Band 4 So without any further adieu, enjoy ESH Cast #443: How […]

The long weekend in the U.S. is over, but the fun is just beginning here at ESH with a brand new clip show to kick off July. With the national holiday behind us (for long-time listeners of the show, that means Pandalicious' birthday, not the celebration of U.S. independence from England) we've pulled together some more un-aired segments we had to cut from previous shows because we ran over on time. From episode 234, we talk about the movie A Scanner, Darkly, some of our Bayonetta 2 live-playthrough from episode 408 had to be left on the cutting room floor […]
