ElectricSistaHood

Join self-proclaimed geeks (and actual sisters) NinJaSistah and Pandalicious each week as they share a unique look at video games new and old. From console gaming (Xbox, Playstation, Wii) to mobile (iOS and Android), triple "A" titles to independent developer releases, trade show coverage and even one-on-one interviews, these ladies review and preview it all. Sprinkle in a little bit of anime and tech gadget and a whole lot of randomness and you've got yourself an episode of ElectricSistaHood.

It's been a marquee week for Pandalicious, so she lets it all hang out this time. Proof of just how big the week was for Panda can be found in this week's podcast title, resulting from a comment of her's you'll hear in the show. We're not going to tell you what the comment was -- you'll have to listen for yourself. We want to warn you right up front that if you haven't played the games Last of Us or Heavy Rain, you're not going to want to pay attention. There are a whole slew of spoilers. Of course, […]

It's not brain surgery were talkin' about here. The game is called Tomb Raider and that's just what Ninjasistah and Pandalicious are gonna do. In fact, the new game Rise of the Tomb Raider takes up the majority of this week's show (and is liable to be the talk of several episodes to come). But that's not all that's up for discussion this week. The sistahs also discuss in detail the upcoming Video Game Awards and the possibility that they might be around to live-stream it on Twitch. If you are interested in such a prospect, just say so in […]

It's a question we keep asking ourselves. When you're told "Everything Becomes F," that's the first question you have. At least it's easier to say the English version of the name -- Ninja has a little difficulty with the Japanese pronunciation. But pronunciation plays a part throughout the episode. For instance, what is the proper pronunciation of Lara Croft's first name? That's debated in the show. There's no disputing the fact that there are lots of great, new games for the holiday season, though. The only remaining question is whether Ninja will find any time to get in any additional […]

Any way you look at it, it's a win for Microsoft. In the past week, NinJa has played her XBox One exclusively -- playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate using her new Elite controller. She hasn't touched her PS4 all week. The folks at Microsoft have to look upon that as a good sign that things might be turning little-by-little in their favor. NinJa and Panda spend much of this week's podcast talking about Assassin's Creed and the Elite controller, but Panda also relays her experience with the demo of a new game, Detroit (which she has been confusing with Chicago, the […]

This episode got uncomfortably WEIRD... But before we get to the weird, NinJa talked about some new headphones she has been testing out, the Beats by Dre MIXR set. They sound great, cater to her inner-bass lover, and it turns out the ones she purchased were priced incorrectly...so they were a steal. (MIXR set typically retails for $249.) But soon after this gadget got discussed the dark cloud of weird and uncomfortably began to roll in... They talked about anime–which is normal but the PARTICULAR anime is more in question. Ninja watched a show called Yosuga no Sora (translated means […]

It isn't what you think it is...perverts. This week's episode is deeply saturated with video game stuff. NinJa starts the off the show talking about her adventures in YouTube land. We all go there, but on an recommendation from Panda, NinJa discovered YouTube sensation and sweetheart, Markiplier. Once the Markiplier love fest was over, NinJa talked about the game that she watched the handsome man play, HuniePop. If you don't know about this game, just combine CandyCrush and any H-game. To play this game however, Ninja had to venture into Steam territory, which is a place she doesn't often tread. […]

The show always gets better when Xenocore shows up This week's show was one of the best conversations The Sistahs have had in a long time. Mainly because they had someone else to talk to, and at. Special guest Xenocore came by to talk about Kojima Productions swan song game, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The show is COMPLETELY devoted to the Metal Gear storyline. Pandalicious has only started playing it and while her voice is being barely present for the majority of this show, her enthusiasm for it could be felt. Just writing about this encounter isn't […]

Trust us, a late podcast is better than no podcast. In this episode we talk about the pending release of Rock Band 4 next week - what we've missed about rhythm/music-based gaming on current-gen consoles, and what we're looking forward to getting back - and anime with a chat about the series Rokka: Six Braves of the Flowers. Enough waiting, enjoy ESH Cast #454: We're Getting the Rock Band Back Together

No need for pleasantries, this episode is all about two things: NinJa's new BB-8 iOS controlled robot, and the recently released Destiny: The Taken King DLC. There really isn't much more to say, the majority of the show is Panda and NinJa talking about their individual and shared experiences playing through the new content. And more importantly, if it's worth its various price tags. Guardians, grab a frosty beverage and enjoy ESH Cast #453: We Warned You About This One

BFIG has come and gone but the sistahs had LOADS to say about it This week's episode does not feature one of NinJaSistah's "Five Minutes of Destiny" segments (and no, she doesn't get to add it to next week's show) because both ladies have way too much BFIG stuff to share. Fair warning: next week's show will be an all-Destiny show as Bungie's latest expansion - The Taken King - drops on 9/15/15. BUT THIS EPISODE ISN'T ABOUT THAT This one is about the ladies adventures at The Boston Festival of Indie Games. They spent the day exploring tabletop and […]
