Really surprised you guys didn't pick up on Kellog's influence on the time line. For several episodes now, Kellog has been much more present in the story lines from the flash forwards to the present as well.

Remember when Liber8 captured Kiera and Brad, Brad revealed that this wasn't their time line anymore and Liber8 broke up realizing that they couldn't effect permanent change. In fact it was hinted at through out the whole season even when John Doe showed up and the Beacon he brought wasn't a technology the Freelancers understood which should be a big tell since they came from the future of Kiera.

The last episode encapsulated the whole season. It was Kellog's story not Kiera that they were talking about, but the show was misdirecting the viewers to follow Kiera and Brad and their dynamic. Kellog's reveal right at the end was even more impactful which you guys neglated to talk about since it reveals the true behind the season manipulator of this current timeline and that is Kellog. Kellog sent Brad back in time with the beacon to take out Alec, the Alec that could bring about Kiera's future. Once Piron Alec died, Brad activated the beacon and that was his big mistake. Kellog was using Brad to make sure that when he activated the beacon, he now has a point in time he can go back to, to make sure he can erase any dangers for him.

Kellog right at the end when he showed how he played future Alec. He got Piron Alec to sign all the documents and control of Piron over to him as a fail safe to prevent Alec from changing anything. Instead of stopping Piron from advancing technology and bringing about the civil war, Kellog only ensured that this future will happen as planned.

Once Brad activated the beacon, and those armored troops time lined in. That scene was spectacular because this was future Kellog saying, I am going to clean up the time travelers and make sure they can't stop him. These guys aren't disguised in suits or looking to stay under the radar, the chain guns, heavy armor and weapons alone should attest that they plan on waging a war and now Kiera has to stop them next season.

I expect Kiera and Liber8 to reform their partnership to combat these new enemies and Kellog will become the new adversary for next season. This episode was hugely revealing, just surprised you guys didn't pick up on all the clues.
